Voting is an important civic duty and the Rochester City Clerk wants to help make your voice heard. The City Clerk's Office has created an online guide to help anyone new to Rochester and first-time voters. The purpose of the guide is to assist anyone looking to participate in upcoming elections. State Primary Election - September 10, 2024

  • The last day to change your party affiliation is June 4, 2024. 
  • Supervisors of the Checklist Session: June 4, 2024, from 7:00pm to 7:30pm, at Rochester City Hall.
    • This is the last opportunity to make changes to your party affiliation or voter registration in preparation for the September 10, 2024, State Primary Election.
  • The State Primary Filing Period shall be open from June 5 until June 14. For more information, you can visit the NH Secretary of State website at www.sos.nh.gov.

Absentee Ballots

Any qualified applicant may request an Absentee Ballot from the City Clerk’s Office.
